What started out as “Money for Moderates” political action committee is now the Oregon Business Association PAC. The name has changed but the mission remains the same - supporting candidates who can find the middle.
At the March meeting, OBA PAC Board interviewed candidates from six important primary contests - three Republican races and three Democratic races.
With two or more strong candidates in each contested race, the interviews and deliberations focused on who was best prepared to take on the big challenges facing our state.
The following candidates understand the opportunity Oregon has to establish our position in the global economy. From comprehensive health care reform to sensible investments in our educational infastructure - these candidates measured up:
House District 2 – Republican Primary: Tim Freeman
House District 42 – Democratic Primary: Jules Kopel-Bailey
House District 45 – Democratic Primary: Cyreena Boston
House District 60 – Republican Primary: Cliff Bentz
Senate District 23 – Democratic Primary: Jackie Dingfelder
Senate District 27 – Republican Primary: Chris Telfer
The OBA PAC Board will convene again following the May primary to interview general election candidates.
