Don't Miss Kristine Lindeblad at our Conference Next Week

We're thrilled to announce the last-minute addition of Kristine's session, "Mining for Mathematical Gems".  As the Secondary Mathematics Coordinator of the Spokane Public Schools she supervises all middle school and high school mathematics teachers, trains department chairs and content coaches, and works closely with state and federal agencies regarding mathematics initiatives.  Kristine has won the Washington Award for Excellence in Teaching (Christa McAuliffe Award - 1997) and the Spokane School District Distinguished Educator Award (1993).  In 1998 she was given the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Education and in 2001 she received a Gates Grant for the Teacher Leadership Project.

You might guess that we are extremely pleased to add her to our list of speakers for next week's Powerful Teaching and Learning in a Professional Learning Community conference.

Her session will give participants the opportunity to experience a learning scenario from a mathematics classroom where structures and strategies are planned to focus all students on deep mathematical understanding.

New: Single-Day Conference Registration

Have a conflict with one of the conference dates but still wish that you could attend at least half? 

We've gotten a few requests from people regarding this so we've created single-day registration options for those of you experiencing this situation.  You can now register for either August 7th or August 8th only.  Single-day tickets are half the price ($225) of a full conference registration ($450)  - you'll see them listed as new "ticket-types" on the registration page.
