Financial Alert: OSPI Announces New Funding

In a memo to superintendents and principals earlier this month OSPI outlined a new source of legislative funding for professional development relating to math and science.  The funds will be available on July 1st and will support:

  • Three PD days for secondary math and science teachers
  • Two PD days for 4th and 5th grade teachers
  • FIVE PD days for one math and one science teacher from each middle and high school

Early Bird Pricing for our Summer Conference Has Been Extended!

We've decided to extend early-bird pricing for the Powerful Teaching and Learning in a Professional Learning Community Conference to allow people a few weeks to take advantage of the new OSPI funding available.

Seven New Ways to Stretch Your PD Dollars

New Science and Math Offerings from PTL

We're excited to announce the completion of several projects we've been working on over the past few months; namely, new training offerings specifically designed for math and science teachers, TOSAs, and content coaches. 

In these new programs we'll apply the same interactive and collaborative approach to provide the highest quality professional development in math and science.  As always, training will be aligned with the principles of Powerful Teaching and Learning.

The following programs can now be delivered in your district or school:

Mathematics:

  • Powerful Teaching and Learning in the Secondary Mathematics Classroom
  • Powerful Teaching and Learning in the Middle School Mathematics Classroom
  • Powerful Teaching and Learning in the Intermediate Grades

Science:

  • Powerful Teaching and Learning in the Secondary Science Classroom
  • Powerful Teaching and Learning in the Middle School Science Classroom
  • Powerful Teaching and Learning in the Intermediate Grades
